This project involved replacing worn out Carrier, water cooled VAV DX cooling units, located within a tightly packed plantroom situated in the middle of the complex. Solution Because of Weatherite’s ability to design, manufacture, install, service and maintain high efficiency cooling solutions, we were able to undertake a thorough assessment of what was required in order to deliver exactly the solution the client was seeking – in the most cost effective way. In this case, working alongside the Clients Consultant JDP, we designed ‘flat-pack’ cooling units that would exactly match the footprint of the existing, inefficient units but delivering the latest advances in technology-providing high energy efficient, low carbon emitting, long term operation. Case Studies Apex Plaza, Commercial Offices Complex As part of our one-stop-shop approach, Weatherite Group of companies supplied and installed a new state of the art replacement air conditioning system at Marks & Spencer’s Cheshunt store in Hertfordshire. Solution The challenges, with this particular project, included the urgent replacement of an existing unit which had completely failed and the hire of a specialist 300 tonne crane which had to be used after midnight to lift seven air handling units into place on the roof before normal business resumed the following morning.
