The project - involving the supply and installation of four rooftop packaged air handling units was part of a major refurbishment programme for Havering Magistrates’ Court - which obviously had to be completed without disruption to the courts day today activities.
SOLUTION
The Weatherite team worked closely with the courts chosen Contractor - Acclaim Contracts of Wickford - and this ensured that the total project was completed two weeks ahead of schedule. One of the key benefits was that the Weatherite air handling units were a bespoke design created to exactly match the existing footprints of the old plant which needed replacing whilst also providing the very latest in energy efficient, low maintenance air handling solutions. It was also possible to retain the existing distribution equipment, including ductwork, gas and water pipes, electrical cabling and other ancillaries. At the same time, the latest Trend IQ control system was incorporated and access for maintenance improved by incorporating the duct-mounted plant items within the selfcontained units.
As Weatherite Group can offer bespoke solutions we were able to install these ‘direct replacement’ air handling units, helping substantially reduce the need to completely replace all existing ancillary equipment and of course the ‘associated costs’.
